INFORMATION WE NEED FROM YOU
Please set up your Pike13 account. You will need to complete the following information on your child’s Pike13 profile (not yours):
1) Sign the waiver
2) Add Emergency Contact Name and Phone Number
3) Add any Special Instructions (allergies, medical conditions, etc.)
4) Give Off-Campus permissions (camp directors often take the whole group to a nearby park for a short nature walk)
5) Provide Alternate transportation if someone other than yourself will be picking up your child
6) Upload a photo of your child
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP
Keyboardists: No equipment necessary; we provide.
Drummers: Bring your own drum sticks or purchase them for $12 at the school.
Vocalists: We provide microphones for use in the camp; you are also welcome to bring your own (please mark it with your child’s name). We also have microphones for purchase at the school for $20 each.
Guitarist or Bass Guitarist: Please bring your instrument along with a strap, picks, and a headstock tuner. Please label your tuner! Amplifiers and cables are provided, so leave those at home.
ALL CAMPERS: Ear protection is REQUIRED in our rehearsal rooms. If you have over-the-ear headphones, please bring them, labeled with your child’s name. We have foam earplugs for purchase, and a limited number of over-ear protection. Hearos high fidelity in-ear earplugs are another great option.
LUNCH, SNACKS, WATER
Campers have the option of bringing their lunch or they can purchase lunch Monday through Thursday (Walter Mitty’s provides us with a special lunch menu). We have a pizza party on Friday (gluten free/dairy free and vegetarian options are available). Campers should also bring a water bottle and a snack or two. We have a water cooler to refill water bottles.
CAMP READINESS ASSESSMENT - FREE TRIAL LESSON
Our campers need to be able to play their instruments well enough to play through songs. If your child has never taken a summer Performance Camp at our location or if we do not know the playing ability of your child, a free trial lesson with our staff is required. We will contact you about scheduling this lesson, or you can contact us at lakeoswego@schoolofrock.com.
PRE-CAMP LESSONS
We offer Camp Readiness Lesson Packs for campers at discounted rates. We found that the more prepared campers are for camp, the more fun they will have and the better the experience for all campers!
AGE RANGE IN OUR CAMPS
Our 5-day performance camps are open to campers from 9 - 17 years old. In our summer camps as well as in our year-round programs, musicians gain valuable experience learning and interacting with different ages, backgrounds and abilities. We tend to have students in each age bracket, but each camp is different. The objective is always to make each song sound as good as possible, and all musicians are working toward that common goal!
